Current teaching methods no longer meet the needs of this new generation of children, who must integrate into a digital society. There are, essentially in the theoretical fields, many abstract themes that pupils have difficulty conceptualizing. As a result, children learn theory that they struggle to understand due to the lack of stimulating content.

The E-Lud virtual reality learning platform to immerse and stimulate learning through visuals and interactivity. The aim was to create a multifunctional platform that could offer several useful applications for teaching.

E-Lud, Neolithic life in virtual reality

The E-LUD virtual reality application contains multiple learning sub-applications:

  • An application that lets teachers broadcast pre-prepared lesson sequences using virtual reality headsets as an immersive medium.
  • An application containing immersive videos presenting careers, schools and universities, to help students in their post-compulsory school careers.
  • A game/exercise application for students with "dys" disorders. Virtual reality can be a promising tool for working on certain disorders such as dyspraxia, dysphasia or dyslexia.

The platform is designed to accommodate an unlimited number of complementary applications. We can imagine applications related to artistic expression or raising awareness of important issues through educational, informative or entertaining videos.

Artificial intelligence was used to bring interaction to the virtual world through human and non-human (animal) NGPs (Non-Player Characters).
